Esta nueva entrega consta de 4 nuevas canciones cada uno con una singularidad y potencia particular nos invita a nuevos paisajes sonoros con fuerza, elegancia y misticismo.
A continuación, debo destacar la canción ‘Hall of the Brave’, tiene todos los elementos que Leaves’ Eyes mantiene en sus últimos trabajos. Se logra apreciar su evolución musical, asà como su identidad. Inicia con instrumentos folks que forman una atmosfera poderosa, cuando entra la banda y los instrumentos de vientos que gritan gloria a los valientes. Actualmente es una de las canciones más potentes y épicas que han creado y me llena de orgullo poder escuchar esta obra de arte. Alex nuevamente sorprende con unos guturales que nos evocan los guerreros, los vikingos, los luchares y todas las formas de expresión de fuerza interna. Existen momentos explosivos con un grupo de coros que son fundamentales al momento de la composición de la banda. Punto para destacar a Florian y Luc en las guitarras, Dominik en el bajo y su baterista de sesión Simon que son parte fundamental para el cuerpo de cada una de las canciones, dado a que son los encargados de promover toda la potencia que una banda de Metal necesita.
Es turno de ‘Until the Last Day’, otra canción digna para los fans más apasionados por el Metal SÃnfonico, notas de opera asombrosas de Elina, asà como instrumentos orquestales, sonidos de teclados dando espacios más delicados a la canción. Esta canción destaca por la rudeza y extremos riffs de guitarra que van en acompañamiento de los sonidos orquestales, siendo el área instrumental que brilla con luz propia. Además, el final de la canción une de forma sensacional, dado a que todos entregan su impactante talento musical, siendo un final grandioso.
Para finalizar este trabajo, cierra con la power balada ‘Roots Eternal’, una bella balada con una Elina serena y sensible, con el acompañamiento de baterÃa que promueve dinamismo y potencia. El punto más fuerte de esta canción es el apasionado solo de guitarra que conmueve, haciéndote sonreÃr, siendo un final emotivo digno de Leaves’ Eyes.

On March 6, Leaves' Eyes will release their new EP, Song of Darkness, to the world and their fans, marking a new era for this legendary symphonic metal band.
This new release consists of four new songs, each with its own unique character and power, inviting us into new soundscapes with strength, elegance, and mysticism.
The first song gives the album its name, Song of Darkness, a song that those of us who attended their last tour in Latin America were able to enjoy. The song has a dark atmosphere. The vocals feature exclusively Elina, the band's lead singer, who displays her talents in a very elegant way, moving between low and high notes. It is a song that connects with you and stays in your head. On the other hand, the video clip for this song stands out, maintaining the atmosphere of the song and allowing you to understand its meaning better.
Next, I must highlight the song “Hall of the Brave,” which has all the elements that Leaves' Eyes maintains in their latest works. You can appreciate their musical evolution, as well as their identity. It starts with folk instruments that create a powerful atmosphere, then the band comes in and the wind instruments shout glory to the brave. It is currently one of the most powerful and epic songs they have created, and I am filled with pride when I listen to this work of art. Alex surprises us once again with guttural vocals that evoke warriors, Vikings, fighters, and all forms of expression of inner strength. There are explosive moments with a group of choirs that are fundamental to the band's composition. Florian and Luc on guitars, Dominik on bass, and session drummer Simon deserve special mention, as they are a fundamental part of the body of each song, given that they are responsible for promoting all the power that a metal band needs.
It's time for “Until the Last Day,” another song worthy of the most passionate fans of symphonic metal, with Elina's amazing opera notes, orchestral instruments, and keyboard sounds giving the song a more delicate feel. This song stands out for its roughness and extreme guitar riffs that accompany the orchestral sounds, with the instrumental section shining in its own right. In addition, the end of the song comes together sensationally, as everyone delivers their impressive musical talent, making for a grand finale.
