El día de hoy Dianne van Giersbergen ha estrenado su nueva y bombástica canción “Phantom of War”, un nuevo capitulo en su impecable proyecto musical que desde la interpretación de quien escribe, logro nuevamente superarse así misma.

Aún sigo encantando con The Elders’ Call, creía que ninguna otra canción de ella lo superaría, sin embargo, ella me cerro la boca y le agradezco aquello.

Esta canción tiene todas las bases de lo que me gusta el metal sinfónico, empieza con un EPICO coro, es más grande de lo que pude asimilar, es como una enorme horda de guerreros listos para esta guerra que nos presenta Dianne. No obstante, este coro va en creciendo dado a que entra una enorme banda cargada de metal.

Posterior a ello entra Dianne, de forma misteriosa, con una voz baja pero que te hipnotiza. Además, esos sonidos líricos bajos son fantasmales, realmente hermoso. Cuando el coro entra en acción, logro evidenciar ya la identidad musical que la interpreta quiere entregar al mundo, dado a que la forma en que suena todo ya me hace decir: “si, esta es una canción que se diferencia al resto, esta es una canción de Dianne”.

¿Qué seria de una épica batalla sin gritos de guerra? Esto lo entrega Francesco Paoli, integrante de Fleshgod Apocalypse, quien con el uso de sus guturales genera ese ambiente que toda pelea necesita.

Otra forma en que Dianne se ha superado así misma es en dar cuenta que ¡mantuvo una nota alta en 6 segundos! Realmente ella entrega todo su corazón a su música y no podemos agradecer su alma en el arte.


No puedo dejar de resaltar su vídeoclip, en donde ella logra transmitir todo en su esplendor, desde la comunicación corporal y un deleite para tus ojos, ya que ella logra captar tu atención y decir ¡BRAVO!

Dianne logra mantener las bases y las raíces del metal sinfónico desde su propia perspectiva, así como identidad, logrando una canción magnifica, que realmente hace que tus odios simplemente disfruten del talento que ella entrega.

Today, Dianne van Giersbergen released her explosive new song “Phantom of War,” a new chapter in her impeccable musical project that, in my opinion, has once again surpassed itself.

I'm still enchanted by The Elders' Call, and I thought no other song of hers could top it, but she proved me wrong, and I thank her for that.

This song has all the elements of what I like about symphonic metal. It starts with an EPIC chorus that is bigger than I could have imagined, like a huge horde of warriors ready for the war that Dianne presents to us. However, this chorus grows as a huge metal band enters.

After that, Dianne enters mysteriously, with a low but hypnotizing voice. What's more, those low lyrical sounds are ghostly, truly beautiful. When the choir kicks in, I can already hear the musical identity that the performer wants to convey to the world, because the way it all sounds makes me say, “Yes, this is a song that stands out from the rest, this is a Dianne song.”

What would an epic battle be without battle cries? This is provided by Francesco Paoli, member of Fleshgod Apocalypse, who uses his guttural vocals to create the atmosphere that every fight needs.

Another way in which Dianne has surpassed herself is by holding a high note for 6 seconds! She really puts her whole heart into her music, and we cannot thank her enough for her soul in art.


I can't help but highlight her music video, where she manages to convey everything in all its splendor, from body language to a feast for the eyes, as she captures your attention and makes you say BRAVO!

Dianne manages to maintain the foundations and roots of symphonic metal from her own perspective and identity, creating a magnificent song that truly makes your ears simply enjoy the talent she delivers.
