Liv Kristine presenta Amor Vincit Omnia, su disco más reciente. Que a diferencia de su antecesor River of Diamonds, presenta un disco más oscuro, pero agregando diversos colores que enriquecen el sonido de la artista es su más grande esplendor.

A continuación, revisaremos paso por paso su disco, en donde nuevamente nos permite maravillarnos con su talento que nos ha cautivado por mucho tiempo.

El álbum inicia poderoso dado a que Prelude, intro que abre la obra es poderosa, mística y bella, en donde Liv nos muestra su gran rango vocal y que, quien escribe esta reseña dejo simplemente maravillado por lo mágico de la pieza musical, una introducción majestuosa que ya te deja inserto en querer escuchar más. Finaliza mediante sus propias palabras habladas “Amor Vincit Omina”.

Continua con la canción que da título al álbum, una canción que puede en un inicio recordar a la época de Liv en Theatre of Tragedy, especialmente en Aegis y que en conjunto con su compañero Michael, quien permite entregar más oscuridad a la canción, dar una riqueza ambiental apropiada, dado a que sus voces se complementan de manera pertinente dando movimiento a la canción. Destaca el final de la canción, en donde ambos entregan toda su capacidad vocal hermosa, cerrando de manera perfecta.

Ode to Life Pristine comienza con un órgano lúgubre y una Liv Kristine en una voz más delicada, en donde junto con la banda permiten un ambiente oscuro pero bello. Destaca los arreglos vocales que acompañan en partes de la canción, lo que enriquece aún más la sensación de recorrer un camino en la naturaleza.

A continuación, quiero destacar la siguiente canción 12th February, dado a que se logra apreciar la mirada musical de Liv Kristine desde la estructura en que crea las canciones, dado a que si bien la cantante es quien nos entrega los mejores arreglos vocales del disco, que en mi opinión personal es uno de los puntos altos, no puedo no mencionar el gran trabajo de los músicos que la acompañan, dado a que es una canción casi en camino a lo instrumental, pero que es un deleite para los odios. Uno de los mejores momentos del álbum.

Procede Angel in Disguise, en donde un piano junto con Liv nos da la bienvenida en una canción que en su desarrollo presenta más fuerza en las guitarras, con un coro que se te clava en la cabeza una y otra vez. Mención que la canción se siente como un abrazo cálido que te mantiene sereno dado a que la cantante se refiere “no te preocupes”.

Hold it when your Life es una canción más dinámica que inicia con arreglos vocales místicos, pero que con el paso de la canción mantiene un ritmo parecido a la canción anterior. Destaca nuevamente a la banda que acompaña, con un bajo en conjunto con una batería de forma rimbombante.

Por otro lado, nos encontramos nuevamente con uno de los puntos altos del álbum y con uno de mis favoritos Sapphire Heaven, con un piano rítmico en conjunto con la banda que entrega un ambiente que me atrevo a decir íntimo con una Liv con uso de tonos más bajos y graves, que entregan dinamismo al álbum.  Una canción que se disfruta para días fríos, dado a que nuevamente destacan los arreglos vocales de la cantante, embelleciendo todo a su alrededor.

La presencia del piano aparece nuevamente en Unzip my Love, sin embargo, nos encontramos ante una canción casi bailable, que promueve a que muevas tu cabeza en tono con el pasar de la pista, dando a conocer los diversos colores que Liv y la banda entregan en el álbum, disfrutando del dinamismo a lo que escuchas. Resalta de forma magistral un solo de guitarra que enriquece aún más todo, siendo un deleite. Finaliza la canción con una Liv en modo coral, dándole un toque bello.

Nuevamente aparece uno de los puntos fuertes del álbum, dado a que Melange (Whenaddictioncalls), Liv nos entrega nuevamente sus puntos en inteligencia, dado a que te encuentras con una canción con uso de otros lenguajes, iniciando de forma nuevamente íntima. Una canción distinta, pero que no pierde su identidad dentro del disco, dado a que logra seguir una línea adecuada para todo lo que se presenta.

Tangerines inicia con guitarras acústicas pero que no te dejes engañar, Liv entra en su momento de forma mágica, demostrando sus dotes vocales que nos ha enamorado a todos sus fans. Es una canción con cambios de ritmo tanto instrumentales como en arreglos de voz, entregando un ambiente dulce para tus oídos, un momento bello para el álbum.

Finalmente, para cerrar el disco se encuentra When Stillnes Speaks, con una instrumentación inicial que acompaña un ambiente casi invernal, con un cambio de ritmo de Liv entregada totalmente. Permitiendo dar cuenta de la belleza de su rango vocal, sutil y elegante, permitiendo nuevamente dar la sensación de intimidad y entrega emocional. Es ella abriendo sus emociones mediante la música, siendo así un hermoso final para un bello disco.

Puedo decir que es un álbum que disfrutar mucho, presenta diversos colores que te permiten viajar al mundo de Liv, íntimo y sensible. Además, que demuestra su crecimiento profesional en el área musical, en donde permite lucir su talento y como la banda es tan importante para enriquecer este álbum.

Liv Kristine presents Amor Vincit Omnia, her latest album. Unlike its predecessor River of Diamonds, it presents a darker album, but adding different colors that enrich the sound of the artist is its greatest splendor.

The album begins powerfully as Prelude, intro that opens the work is powerful, mystical and beautiful, where Liv shows us her great vocal range and that, who writes this review left simply amazed by the magic of the piece of music, a majestic introduction that already leaves you wanting to hear more. She continues with the song that gives title to the album, a song that can at the beginning remind us of Liv's time in Theatre of Tragedy, especially in Aegis and that together with her partner Michael, who allows delivering more darkness to the song, gives an appropriate environmental richness, given that their voices complement each other in a pertinent way giving movement to the song. The end of the song stands out, where both deliver all their beautiful vocal capacity, closing the song in a perfect way.

Ode to Life Pristine begins with a mournful organ and a Liv Kristine in a more delicate voice, where together with the band they allow a dark but beautiful atmosphere. It highlights the vocal arrangements that accompany parts of the song, which further enriches the feeling of traveling a path in nature. 

Next, I want to highlight the following song 12th February, since it is possible to appreciate the musical look of Liv Kristine from the structure in which she creates the songs, since although the singer is the one who gives us the best vocal arrangements of the album, which in my personal opinion is one of the high points, I can not fail to mention the great work of the musicians who accompany her, since it is a song almost on the way to the instrumental, but it is a delight for the haters. One of the best moments of the album. 

Proceeds Angel in Disguise, where a piano along with Liv welcomes us in a song that in its development presents more strength in the guitars, with a chorus that sticks in your head over and over again. Mention that the song feels like a warm embrace that keeps you serene as the singer refers to “don't worry”. 

Hold it when your Life is a more dynamic song that starts with mystical vocal arrangements, but as the song progresses it maintains a similar rhythm to the previous song. The accompanying band stands out again, with a bass in conjunction with the drums in a bombastic way. 

On the other hand, we find again one of the high points of the album and one of my favorites Sapphire Heaven, with a rhythmic piano in conjunction with the band that delivers an atmosphere that I dare to say intimate with a Liv with use of lower tones and bass, which give dynamism to the album.  A song to be enjoyed on cold days, given that once again the vocal arrangements of the singer stand out, embellishing everything around her. 

The presence of the piano appears again in Unzip my Love, however, we find ourselves in front of an almost danceable song, which promotes you to move your head in tune with the passing of the track, making known the different colors that Liv and the band deliver on the album, enjoying the dynamism to what you hear. It highlights in a masterful way a guitar solo that enriches everything even more, being a delight. The song ends with Liv in choral mode, giving a beautiful touch. 

Again appears one of the strong points of the album, since Melange (Whenaddictioncalls), Liv gives us again his gifts in intelligence, since you find yourself with a song with use of other languages, starting again in an intimate way. A different song, but that does not lose its identity within the album, since it manages to follow a suitable line for everything that is presented. 

Tangerines starts with acoustic guitars but don't be fooled, Liv enters her moment in a magical way, demonstrating her vocal talents that has made all her fans fall in love with her. It's a song with changes of rhythm both instrumentally and in vocal arrangements, delivering a sweet atmosphere for your ears, a beautiful moment for the album.

Finally, to close the album is When Stillnes Speaks, with an initial instrumentation that accompanies an almost wintry atmosphere, with a change of pace of Liv totally delivered. Allowing to realize the beauty of her vocal range, subtle and elegant, allowing again to give the feeling of intimacy and emotional delivery. It is her opening up her emotions through the music, thus being a beautiful ending to a beautiful album. 

I can say that it is an album that I enjoyed very much, it presents diverse colors that allow you to travel to Liv's world, intimate and sensitive. In addition, it shows her professional growth in the musical area, where she shows her talent and how the band is so important to enrich this album.
